Renovating an old Nitto S.F.3D. kit.

The kit as supplied to me, 90% completed.

Determining pose. An old Monogram 1/32nd scale StuG IV damaged skurtzen section will provide the groundwork.

Upgrading with Wave parts. Ketzer right hand and Gustav laser. Elmer's Wood Filler fills in the gaps in the elbow and shoulder joints. They will be detailed later. The skurtzen thickened and detailed.

Filling the interior. A shelf to support the operator's bust.

Fiber optic and mounting bracket.

Adding a fire wall. A fiber optic 'idiot' light within the engine compartment.

Blocking in the interior. The external end of the fiber optic.

The kit's "dashboard" monitor and styrene mount. A copper wire acts as a hinge to allow the monitor to be positionable.

Interior detail pieces made from scrap styrene sheet, tubing and rod.

A new operator being sculpted. Using the operator's body from the kit with a head from a Wave Raccoon for determining size.

The finished new operator. Sculpted from Super Sculpey.

Dress rehearsal. The fiber optic's mounting bracket is painted black. The end of the fiber optic is painted with a combination of red mixed with clear gloss. Illuminated by overhead room light.

Finished photos.

''The Second Battle of SeeLowe Heights''

I replaced the instrument panel with a modified graphic I had made for the Gustav in "Omega-Sektor".
